Carlisle Brake & Friction Inc is Hiring a Production Lead - Satcom Near Franklin, WI

SUMMARY
Assists Value Stream Supervisor/Mangers with the training and development of team members ensuring the maximum and efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilities to positively impact performance metrics. Assist with ensuring effective and efficient daily execution of production work along with helping to drive Continuous Improvement by utilizing Carlisle Operating System (COS) framework, tools, and learnings. Trains, monitors, and assigns work to production personnel to ensure quality products are produced in an efficient manner to meet daily schedule and customer due dates accurately.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assist Manufacturing Teams
  • Utilize hand tools and automated machines and components in conjunction with customer drawings, parts list, bill of materials.
  • Mentor all levels of manufacturing teams
  • Assist Operators/Machinists with questions and interface with various departments when problems arise or when additional information is needed for assembly products.
  • Stage work by daily demand and ensure the operators/machinists have the tools necessary to do their jobs.
  • Communicate ideas to supervisor and work with supervisor to implement.
  • Advocate positive and productive team atmosphere. Communicate performance issues to supervisor/manager.
  • Assist supervisors/management with ensuring the maximum and efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and facilities.
  • May give input to supervisor/manager in evaluating assemblers.
  • Support company goals and policies
  • Demonstrate a high level of creativity and continuously look for ways to improve and increase quality and efficiency.
  • Assists in the training and development of assemblers and operators.
  • Completes paperwork clearly and accurately.
  • Assists with first article and/or NPI assemblies as needed.
  • Provides back-up for supervisor(s) as needed.
  • Interfaces with engineers as required.
  • Maintains and posts performance measures for SQDCI Metrics in line with the Carlisle Operating System
  • Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guideline.
  • Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis.
  • High school diploma or GED. Bachelors preferred.
  • Three (3) years of related production experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610 within three months of hire
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Articulate with use of good grammar skills.
  • A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
Job Skills
  • Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams.
  • Writing skills required to complete documents and forms.
  • Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Proficient with SAP.
  • Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment.
  • A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses in specific areas.
  • Hearing protection, in specific locations
  • Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
