We are looking for a Material Handler (Day Shift) 7:00am - 3:30pm Mon thru Fri to join our Production team in Providence, RI
This position is assigned to warehouse preparation of orders outbound, unloading and loading trucks with in-bound and out-bound logistics. Maintaining the warehouse to be safe, orderly, and efficient.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality services to our customer by meeting customer shipping requirement within the established time frames.
• Work with Shipping Lead in overseeing incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments are to customer expectations.
• Communicate to Shipping Lead any warehouse issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
• Follow Daily work in process and receive, generate necessary paperwork to move WIP to next process. Giving special attention as to what process or material product requires
• Practice all inventory control procedures ensuring maximum safeguard of Company’s physical inventory.
• Move material and package orders as needed
• Maintain safe work practices and housekeeping programs
• Complete special assignments and other duties as assigned.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in opening warehouse for daily activities
• Follow work schedule per Manager’s instruction
• Pick required material for the day’s orders
• Assist with receiving in of work in process from various departments for outside service processing
• Prepare completed orders for shipment, UPS, common carrier or customer pickup.
• Assist in preparation of shipping documents, UPS and common carrier, printing labels, product identifications as needed.
• Work with operations to replenish inventory
• Daily Housekeeping tasks to ensure 5S and safety expectations
• Assist in securing warehouse at end of day
• Will be required to fill in for shipping Lead he/she is out for vacation or leave

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors; there is exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust.
Business is cyclical and will require flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.
For this position, it is required to be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds frequently. There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling constantly up to 50 pounds. In addition this position requires the following abilities: Standing, Walking, Lifting, Reaching above shoulders, Bending and Twisting.

• Strong computer skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent strongly preferred
• Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, etc.
• Ability to read and understand English
• Ability to determine freight costs
• Understanding of hazardous materials regulations
• Finished goods and raw material product knowledge
• Organized and process driven. Able to stay ahead of shipping deadlines and customer expectations
• Reliable means of transportation required
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, education verification (if applicable), and physical abilities test (PAT).
• Must be able to be certified on our Forklift and Reach trucks
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
