Carlisle Brake & Friction Inc is Hiring an Analytical Technician Near Carlisle, PA

The Research and Development Analytical Technician conducts chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist manufacturing and R&D in making qualitative and quantitative analyses to ensure quality. The Analytical Technician will also develop analytical methods, perform quality control testing on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications, in addition to other Research and Development functions directed by the Analytical Lab Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses using techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, microscopy, rheology, and physical and chemical separation techniques
  • Collect, interpret and report data adhering to guidelines on documentation
  • Work with chemists and engineers to develop analytical methods
  • Test and monitor raw material, in-process material and finished product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications
  • Document, track and build library for raw material, in-process material and finished product test data
  • Provide technical support and assistance to production
  • Responsible for calibration, performance monitoring and operation of equipment
  • Provide and maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science or other related physical science discipline with experience in a laboratory environment performing wet chemistry, physical, and or/analytical testing.
