Job Summary:
As a Shipyard Welding/Mechanic Trainee, you will play acrucial role in our shipyard operations, supporting the repair and maintenanceof our marine vessels and barges. This position offers the opportunity todevelop your skills in a hands-on environment under the guidance of experiencedemployees to continue to develop your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist welders and mechanics in daily operations, includingpreparing materials, tools, and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and repair on our marine vesselsincluding maintenance on diesel engines.
Support the team in adhering to safety and quality standardsin all operations.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhanceskills and knowledge.
Help in the set-up and breakdown of project sites, ensuringa safe and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
Technical/vocational training in welding or mechanics is aplus.
Basic understanding of welding and mechanical principles.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weatherconditions.
