Carl Jr is Hiring a Fast Food General Manager Near Salt Lake, UT

The Stellaris Group/Carl’s Jr. Restaurants, a successful fast food chain that strives for excellence in service, quality burgers and innovative menu choices is looking for driven General Managers (GMs) to join their dedicated local team in Utah. The General Manager provides leadership and guidance to achieve short and long-term location objectives. This position is critical to Stellaris Group/Carl's Jr. Restaurants. General Managers contributes to the success of the Stellaris Group/Carl's Jr. by ensuring a positive Guest experiences and reviews while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety and sanitation.

The General Manager works closely with their District Manager lead their operations to increase sales and traffic. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator to keep their team motivated and working towards meeting and exceeding company performance metrics. The ideal candidate will work side by side with all team members on all shifts Monday through Sunday on the counter, in the drive-thru, in the kitchen and the guest area daily to review operations, encourage the streamlining of processes and train staff on company policies, procedures and standards. The successful General Manager will be driven by a sense of accomplishment, be innovative, approachable, organized and open to feedback. They must be driven by increasing sales and understand the value of being a part of the community to meet and exceed company goals.

The daily/weekly schedule is flexible but does require Saturday and Sunday hours and some long days side by side with the team. The Roles & Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Managing and implementing process improvement in all aspects of fast-food delivery and customer service to ensure operational excellence
  • Leading and growing location teams which includes recruiting, onboarding, developing, motivating, setting goals and evaluating performance
  • Managing and leading location operational activities related to managing food costs, labor hours, sales efforts and efficiencies to increase productivity and profitability of the Franchise
  • Analyzing company reports to track operational KPIs and metrics to hold the team members accountable for meeting performance standards and goals
  • Auditing all areas of operations to ensure compliance with all government inspections and expectations and to ensure Franchisors’ standards are upheld

The Skillsets & Qualifications for this job include:

  • 2 years’ experience as an Asst Manager/Shift Lead of a Quick Service Restaurant (Q.S.R.) w/Drive-Thru Manager
  • 2 years’ experience w/food quality control and cost control policies and procedures
  • 1 years’ experience in streamlining operations and process improvement
  • 1 years’ recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, motivating and, developing team members and evaluating performance
  • Experience managing shifts in a 24 hours/day operating restaurant
  • Proven track record of improving restaurant performance
  • Excellent decision making, prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Professional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Experienced in mentoring, coaching, training & developing crew members
  • High level problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Food Safety Certification (may vary based on city, county, and state requirements)
  • Food Handler’s Certification
  • Willingness to work at different locations throughout the Wasatch Front
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Satisfactory background check required.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus

Physical Requirements to perform the job effectively:

  • Ability to manually lift and move up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push occasionally.
  • Ability to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.).
  • Ability to have contact/immersion of hands in water, cleaning and sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items, on occasion.
  • Ability to use computers, telephones, and office equipment.

Job Type & Schedule:

  • Full-time Monday thru Friday; 40-50 hours/week depending on workload
  • 75% of time is spent in the field
  • Ability to support restaurants that are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Includes travel locally to meetings and other locations.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $ 45,000 - $ 55,000 Depending on experience

$ 17/hr for first 6 weeks of training and onboarding

Bonuses based on KPIs; Cell phone
