Position Summary
The Billing Department is at the center and forefront of our financial operations. This position would involve team members working together, maximizing efforts, and educating payers to address their questions so we can receive proper payments for our transformative and critical health care service for oncology patients.
Because our services are on the cutting edge of medicine, our employees are charged with educating insurance providers on the necessity of our services, and we are interested in speaking with candidates who have the capacity to learn our business and who have the communication skills to explain the value of our offering to third party payers with a goal of obtaining proper and timely payment for services rendered.
We need individuals who have a balance of tenacity to not take no for an answer and relationship building skills to maintain long-term associations with third party payer representatives.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for auditing employees
Train new hires
Monitor billing department and workflow
Run and review daily reports
Manage employee’s timecards and PTO
Participate in the process to hire, promote, and terminate employees.
Required Qualifications
3 years of experience of Medical Billing
Proficiency in Microsoft office, Word, and Excel
Conditions of Employment : Individuals must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication skills, problem solver, and analytical skills
Must have creative, self-disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently
Physical Demands
Must possess ability to sit and / or stand for long periods of time.
Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Majority of work is performed in a desk / cubicle environment.
Training
All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.
Other
Willingness to work shift work and overtime is required.
Job may require occasional weekends, evenings, and / or holidays.
