Duties:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
- Prescribe and manage appropriate medications for patients
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to patients
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
- Conduct therapy sessions with individuals, families, or groups as needed
- Document patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and timely
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Certification as a PMHNP by a recognized national certifying body
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, psychiatric disorders, and evidence-based treatment modalities
-BILINGUAL A MUST (SPANISH & ENGLISH)
- Proficiency in conducting psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Experience in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications
- Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Knowledge of discharge planning, pain management, memory care, and workers compensation law is preferred but not required
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology to inform clinical decision-making
