CareSTL Health is Hiring a Director of Value Based Care Near St. Louis, MO

CareSTL Health is seeking a Director of Value-Based Care who provides direct oversight and strategically coordinates the Value-Based Care program by managing and implementing policies and practices/controls, training, reporting, and deliverables. Expectations of the department include improving health outcomes, improving patient and staff experiences, reducing cost, increasing revenue, and promoting equity. Additionally, the Director of Value-Based Care must ensure data accuracy, security, confidentiality, legal and regulatory compliance in the Value-Based Care Department ensuring that the department complies with any local, state, or federal regulations including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Director of Value-Based Care may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons.

  • Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Value-Based Care Department and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and manage the day-to-day operation of the department
  • Directs the development of education resources, training, reporting, tools, and transformation strategy-related work plans supporting health centers' transition to value-based care
  • Lead development of financial risk models for health center analysis of payer proposals, shared savings/shared risk, capitation, and percent of premium contracts
  • Oversee the creation of best practice workflows and process mapping tools to support health center value-based care and electronic health records training and resources
  • Develop templates for health center management reporting systems and dashboards to measure, track, and monitor performance within value-based contracts

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists in the preparation of the departmental budget and gives guidance on organizational budget structure in the transition to Value-Based Care
  • Remain up to date on regulations to maintain compliance and inform the Chief Information Officer of potential changes necessary due to the regulations
  • Coordinates with other healthcare organizations to determine best practices that will render more effective value-based healthcare services
  • Consult with the Corporate Information Officer to ascertain organizational needs for health information management
  • Recommends the selection of new employees
  • Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO and Chief Information Officer

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • 5-10 years of related experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational and self-motivational skills.

Transportation Requirement:

  • Must have Reliable Transportation

  • Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
