We need Medication Aides to join our team at Heritagespring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in West Chester, OH . You’ll assist with administering of medications and treatments to Assisted Living residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the attending physician, the nurse supervisor or charge nurse, and the Director of Nursing.
$20 to $24 Per Hour MA-C Medication Aide Certification Required Must have an MA-C certification to function as a certified medication aide in a nursing home.
You’ll Be Responsible For : Following the policies & procedures of the facility governing the administering of medications to residents Reporting any medication error, clinical issue or resident need that you are unable to address to the charge nurse and / or nurse manager Assisting in developing and implementing procedures to discover when, where, and why medication errors take place, & how they can be prevented Performing administrative requirements, such as completing & submitting necessary forms, documentation, etc.
Maintaining a friendly, productive, working relationship with other members of the department of nursing, attending physicians, the Medical Director, & pharmacists Attending & participating in care plan meetings as necessary.
