Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Dental Director, the dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to the CareSouth Carolina patient community. Duties include:

  • Examine, diagnose, prescribe, and fulfill treatment (or direct others to carry out procedures intended based upon diagnosis) that is in the best interest of the patient's oral health.
  • Patient education with the use of intra-oral imaging and treatment planning
  • Restorative care with the use of composite, amalgam, and other modalities including single-unit crowns, Anterior/Premolar Endodontics, and Extractions
  • Uphold the policy, protocol, and procedures, which comply with the most current accepted professional standards.

Education and Experience

  • Licensed to practice as a DDS or DMD in the State of South Carolina
  • Graduate of a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
  • Completion of an approved dental residency program
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified

Hours

Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Location

School-Based/Mobile. Will work on the mobile medical unit providing care at the schools in Lee, Darlington, Chesterfield, Marlboro, and Dillon counties.
