Job Summary:

The Human-Centered Design Product Designer II is responsible for collaboratively building products and services that enable our members to achieve their holistic health goals across all factors of social determinants of health by delivering high-quality end-to-end experiences that have a measurable impact on our members. They focus on defining and designing features for our emerging digital products.

Essential Functions:

• Define the end-to-end product experience through a human-centered design process by assisting with establishing the initial direction to visual implementation in order to deliver high-quality work that has a visible impact on our member's lives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for the member experience in our products and services
• Facilitate and lead design discussions, soliciting and synthesizing feedback to better the member's experience
• Conduct and apply user research (moderated and unmoderated) with cross-functional partners to better understand the needs of our members, providers, and regulators
• Through Design Thinking, drive the iterative design process, by sketching concepts, showing work in progress, validating ideas qualitatively and quantitatively, co-creating roadmaps, ship solutions, learn and grow
• Ability to co-define measures of success, test your assumptions and outcomes, and incorporate feedback
• Coordinate with other design team members to ensure consistent and accurate communication
• Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, Business, or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
• Five (5) years of professional visual product design experience, designing complex or enterprise-level software is required

• Knowledge of different technology solutions in the healthcare space; ability to learn new technology to support business direction and customer needs
• Expert in design thinking principles and digital product design
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams, set priorities, manage projects, deliver results based on requirements and goals
• Comfortable and confident interacting with business partners and senior/executive leadership
• Strong interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of the healthcare and/or managed care ecosystem is a plus

Licensure and Certification:

• Design, Product Design, or User Experience Design certification is strongly desired

Working Conditions:

• General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Compensation Range:
$90,500.00 - $158,400.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
