Your Role

Associate Claims Clinical Specialist, Care Advocacy

You will be part of a team delivering concierge services to care-seekers and care-managers including but not limited to caregiver support and education, conducting consultations with older adults and caregivers on aging services and providing guidance on the caregiving journey. You will also play a leading role in creating and refining new service offerings using your deep expertise and knowledge of the long-term care needs of the aging.

You will interact with policyholders, family members, facilities and other care services through inbound and outbound calls and provide critical support to our communities by partnering with them on the aging journey.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Provide Subject Matter expertise on the local and state level programming and resources for aging adults and their caregivers.
  • Share education and resources to aging individuals seeking assistance with care options and navigating challenges.
  • Comprehensively assess and address biological, psychological, environmental, and social needs.
  • Through strong phone skills (e.g., empathetic tone, patience, warm voice) and use of active listening and motivational interviewing skills during the assessment, determine the policyholder’s needs.
  • Intensive case management experience and crisis intervention
  • Approach problem-solving with a human centered lens
  • Bring deep understanding of landscape and individual aging and long-term resources, facilities, organizations, agencies, and referral sources to help marketing team reach key partnerships and potential consumers who would benefit from our products
  • Key member of the product and design team by representing the voice of the customer
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager that support CareScout business needs, changes, and new initiatives.
What You Bring
  • Minimum of 5 years total relevant work experience as either Social Worker or RN with Geriatric Case management experience
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge in the following areas: Area Agency on Aging offerings/resources, Home and Community based programing and eligibility criteria, Medicaid and Medicare, knowledge of discharge planning process and considerations, local resources for elder law and estate planning
  • Ability to provide education and advocacy for aging population and caregivers on community resources, home health options, Long Term Care planning and facilities
  • Customer focus and adaptability to service diverse customer populations
  • Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively, meeting personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets and delivering on responsibilities
  • Comfortable interacting with senior management, team members, different disciplines, other stakeholders
  • Strong written, spoken and listening communication skills
  • Highly collaborative, results driven, team player
  • Reliable with the ability to work productively as a team and independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with computer applications such as MS Office, email, desktop faxing and other office procedures. Able to work on multiple monitors
Nice to Have
  • Experience or understanding of Long-Term Care Insurance products
  • GCM or CCM certification
  • Long term care experience
  • Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience working within startups and contributing to their rapid growth

This position is available to remote applicants residing in the United States. The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $51,800. up to the maximum of $95,900. An employee’s pay position within the base salary pay range will be based on several factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 7% of your base compensation.
The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors to ensure pay equity within the organization.
