UNIT MANAGER

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Unit Manager to join our ever-growing team. The Unit Manager will direct the day to day functions of the nursing unit in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards governing the facility and as directed by the Director of Nursing to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Job Description:
- Day to day functions of the nursing unit
- Participate in developing, maintaining, and periodically updating written nursing policies, procedures, manuals, objectives, and philosophies
- Assist in developing and implementing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services
- Ensure that all nursing services personnel are performing their respective duties
- Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining resident discharge procedures and plans
- Report problem areas to the Director of Nursing and assist in developing and implementing corrective actions
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary
- Ensure all new staff on the unit receive appropriate orientation
- Ensure appropriate initiation and completion of minimum data set and care plan process, audit of patient charts
- Participate as a member of the resident interdisciplinary care planning committee
- Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy
- Treat resident with kindness, dignity, and respect
- Review and promptly report to the Administrator and maintain written records of all resident complaints and grievances
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a current state license as a Registered Nurse
- Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility with strong clinical and managerial skills
