Unit Cleark Job Description:
Job Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for resident EMR records and supplies pertaining to nursing services and performing other related assigned duties.
Qualifications:
1. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
2. Must have working knowledge of general and geriatric nursing.
3. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and mature judgments.
4. Must have the ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
5. Must be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner.
Job Requirements:
1. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing routine job duties.
2. Excellence in all aspects of quality nursing including exceptional and sub-acute care.
3. Good managerial, organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
4. Be personable with residents, families, and staff in a professional and cooperative manner.
5. Must have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the elderly.
Main Duties:
A. Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives.
B. Be sensitive to residents' families and respond in an appropriate professional way as the situation requires.
C. Make out the Daily CNA Assignment Sheets as assigned.
D. Participate in staff meetings in order to keep staff performance at optimum level.
E. Download paper documentation (i.e.: lab results, MARS, etc) to EMR system.
F. Arrange and schedule resident appointments and transportation.
G. Maintain a working file of required forms as well as required EMR documents. Make sure these documents/forms are readily available on the floors.
H. Assist Medical Records Dept. as assigned.
I. Maintain the confidentiality of resident information and honor his/her personal and property rights.
J. Attend nursing department, Care Plan, and other meetings as directed by the DON, ADON, or Administration.
K. Turn in Days Off and payroll special request forms in a timely fashion.
L. Follow established fire, disaster, safety, infection control, evacuation policies and procedures.
M. Perform other related duties as directed by the DON, ADON, or the Administrator.
