Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and skin puncture to collect blood samples from patients
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of collected specimens
- Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing and transport them to the appropriate lab
- Follow established protocols for specimen collection and handling to maintain sample integrity
- Assist patients with any concerns or questions related to the blood draw process
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of biohazardous materials
- Keep accurate records of patient information, test requisitions, and collected samples
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate specimen collection
- Handle difficult or anxious patients with empathy and professionalism
- Keep up-to-date with phlebotomy techniques and best practices through ongoing education and training.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 years old and above
- Proof of COVID vaccination
- Proof of TB test
- Ability to undergo a criminal background check
- Ability to undergo a drug test
- Ability to act quickly and efficiently in times of emergency
- Physically fit to lift, transfer, and assist patients with mobility
