CareMed Health Solutions is a facility-based team of medical providers who provide medical services to patients living in long term care facilities. We strive to give quality care to residents while working together with the facility to carry out the best care possible. While an interdisciplinary care team to provide medical care to patients in long term care facilities, you will have the opportunity to impact in a positive way the life and wellbeing of the elderly population.

We are currently seeking optometrists to provide optometry services to patients living in long term care facilities.

Optometrist Role and Responsibilities:

•Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, focusing on geriatric optometry, for residents in skilled nursing facilities.

•Diagnose and treat a variety of age-related and vision-related conditions.

•Prescribe and provide eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids tailored to individual needs.

•Work collaboratively with nursing home staff to monitor changes in residents' vision and ensure optimal eye care.

•Educate patients and their families on proper eye health and vision care practices.

Optometrist Qualifications and Education Requirements:

•Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.

•Current, unrestricted optometry license in the state of Kentucky.

•Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

•Exceptional communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
