Location: Norristown, PA/ Media, PA

Pay Rate: Commensurate with experience and education

Job Type: Part-time/ PRN

Available Shifts: Flexible

Job Description:

The Outpatient Clinician (OC) is a post-masters experienced mental health professional responsible for providing culturally responsive, evidenced-based individual, group and/or family based clinical interventions in an evolving outpatient clinic. The OC must be well versed in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidenced-based clinical interventions to provide trauma informed and culturally sensitive treatment. The OC must demonstrate ability in the design, implementation, measurement, and tracking of evidenced-based interventions and protocols through documentation and chart maintenance. The OC will further demonstrate clinical competency based on the ability to manage time effectively, engage and maintain a culturally diverse member population, and maintain treatment satisfaction scores.

Qualifications:

Educational requirement:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in providing behavioral health services preferred.
  • Experience with problematic sexual behaviors would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of Evidenced-based treatments and interventions.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills,
  • Thorough understanding of clinical best practices for a broad range of DSM V diagnoses.
  • Ability to multitask and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments.
  • Ability to problem solve and exercise judgment.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Able to work independently and within a multiple disciplinary team.

Essential Functions:

  • Produces the minimally required billing objectives weekly.
  • Complete annual courses and trainings as assigned/ required
  • Conducts intake assessments and comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluations based on DSM V criteria.
  • Submits completed intake packets with initial recovery/goal plan and bio-psychosocial assessment and formulation within assigned time frame.
  • Provides individual, group and/or family-based interventions therapy for all assigned cases in accordance with treatment plan.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records on all members on his/her caseload and accurately ensures completeness of case files.
  • Develops comprehensive treatment/recovery plans for assigned caseload to include clear goals and interventions that are measured, monitored, and tracked during each member session.
  • Develops and maintains Recovery/Treatment Plans as directed by healthcare plan requirements to be completed within the session during which member actively participates in its development.
  • Provides comprehensive progress notes after each member encounter that tracks interventions according to agency protocol, clinical best practice, and recovery/treatment plan goals.
  • Completes and submits encounter forms as directed.
  • Attends supervision sessions as scheduled by the Director of Outpatient Services.
  • Meet all training requirements of agency and regulatory bodies.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
  • Performs job within framework of agency, site, and professional standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings and training programs.
  • Adheres to agency/site policies and procedures including HIPAA requirements.
  • Projects a positive attitude and image to staff, participants, family members, and outside contacts.
  • Uses appropriate communication channels.
  • Completes assignments independently and within specified time frames.
  • Participates in achievement of agency objectives, goals, and mission.
  • Displays motivation and interest in working creatively with people who have mental illness/disabilities.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make sound judgements regarding the welfare of people served.
  • Displays ability to take direction.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of basic principles and methods of clinical psychology and psychiatric rehabilitation.
  • Follows agency dress code.
  • Adheres to supervisor's requests.
  • Cooperates with other staff and exhibit positive attitude toward position and agency.
  • Contributes to the growth and development of services.
  • Shows initiative and demonstrate good judgement.
  • Follows instructions accurately and thoroughly.
  • Works as scheduled to assure coverage.
  • Performs job in a safe manner.
  • Reports/addresses safety concerns in a timely manner.

Other Functions:

  • Perform miscellaneous work assignments as required.
  • At the discretion of the Regional Director:
  • Provide support and training with completion and review of HRST’s.
  • Actively participate in treatment team meetings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Support the development of transition plans related to admission and discharge.

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting is required. Ability to lift at least a minimum of twenty (20) pounds;
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time; primarily an office setting
  • Ability to use a computer.
