**Job Summary:**

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at a Nursing Home, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to our residents. Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for residents within the nursing home setting. Your compassion, clinical expertise, and attention to detail will be instrumental in promoting the health and well-being of our residents.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Assessment and Care Planning:**

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' health status, including physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and resident preferences.

- Regularly reassess residents' needs and modify care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

2. **Medication Management:**

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.

- Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects from medications and promptly report any concerns to the attending physician.

3. **Clinical Documentation:**

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including nursing assessments, care plans, progress notes, and incident reports.

- Document residents' responses to interventions and treatments, as well as any changes in their condition.

4. **Patient Advocacy:**

- Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring their rights are respected and their voices are heard.

- Collaborate with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to address concerns and facilitate open communication.

5. **Health Promotion and Education:**

- Provide health education to residents and their families on topics such as disease management, medication adherence, and preventive care.

- Promote a culture of wellness within the nursing home through educational initiatives and support programs.

6. **Quality Assurance and Compliance:**

- Adhere to all regulatory requirements and standards of practice governing nursing home operations.

- Participate in quality assurance activities, such as audits, chart reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications:**

- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Massachusetts.

- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care or geriatric setting.

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment.

- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting resident-centered care.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to lift and move residents, as needed, with or without assistance.

- Stamina to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

- Manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient for performing nursing procedures and using medical equipment.

**Work Environment:**

- The position involves working within a nursing home setting, which may include exposure to infectious diseases, unpleasant odors, and challenging resident behaviors.

- Flexible scheduling may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 coverage and meet the needs of residents.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Per diem

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
