General Position SummaryResponsible for operating the milling system, including starting up, shutting down, troubleshooting, and cleaning each component of the milling system. Responsible for recording the required corresponding production data pertaining to the milling area. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Inspects milling equipment daily to be sure it is clean and sanitary.Conducts base changeovers.Monitors and adjust equipment by observing output quality.Responsible for assembling and disassembling of equipment according to the milling SOP. Troubleshoots and proactively solves potential problems with equipment.Responsible for training/cross training new Milling Technicians.Communicates with all members of the production, quality, and maintenance team to ensure positive flow of production and accomplish goals of the production schedule.Responsible for attending and participating in assigned training sessions related to safety, GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; applying and demonstrating obtained knowledge and following all procedures and policies related to food safety.Understands applicable SQF requirements.Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean.Adheres to all safety guidelines for job performed Other duties may be assigned by supervision as needed.Complies with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.Ability to work as part of a team; capable of learning multiple jobs and maintain a high quality of work.Ability to identify and analyze issuesDesire to be a hands-on, on-the-floor oriented manufacturing team member.Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Computer skills: Proficient with Excel, Word and OutlookExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent attendance Accuracy, Analysis, Attention to Detail, Communication (Speaking, Reading, Writing) in English, Dependability/Reliability, Ethics, Flexibility/Adaptability, Initiative/Follow Through, Judgment, Leadership, Listening & Understanding, Math skills, Personal Computer Usage, Problem Solving, Product Knowledge, Relationship Building, Team Participation, Technical Communications, Time Management.High School Diploma or GED required1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferredMilling, Packer, and/or Stacker equivalent work experience preferredThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential job functions of this position.
