MORE ABOUT THE Respiratory Therapist POSITION:

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this RT opportunity include, but are not limited to:

1. Assist patients and recommend respiratory therapy plans.
2. Examine and counsel patients with irregular breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. ·
3. Establishes individual patient schedules in conjunction with other team members.
4. Develops treatment plans by identifying a problem list, including short and long term goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
5. Coordinates treatment plan with patient, family, and other team members. Implements and conducts treatment as outlined in treatment plan.
6. Treat patients using different ways, for an example aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy etc.
7. Meet patient's goals and needs while providing quality care by conducting pulmonary function tests.
8. Instruct patients on how to use treatments and equipment.
9. Documents results of patient's assessment, treatment, follow-up, and termination of services.
10. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rule and regulations.
11. Trains patient, family and appropriate staff in the use or application of the above.
12. Participates in discharge planning when applicable.
13. Performs other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE Respiratory Therapist:

1. Degree in Respiratory Therapy
2. Current and Active RRT and CRT license
3. One or more years of professional Therapy experience
4. Strong communication and organizational skills
5. Strong knowledge of therapy processes for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric
6. Ability to work with little supervision
