Registered Nurse - RN - Hospice Home Visits

Our hospice opportunity covering Walterboro, SC, and adjacent small towns,strives to provide Registered Nurses with endless opportunities to make an impact in care. PAY:

$2,080/Weekly Gross

$52/Hourly

MORE ABOUT THE RN REGISTERED NURSE POSITION:

1. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
2. Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
3. Foster a caring environment that respects patient's dignity
4. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with life-limiting illnesses, considering physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial factors
5. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments, collaborating with the interdisciplinary hospice team and considering patient and family goals
6. Conduct regular home visits to assess patients' conditions, evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, and address any emerging issues
7. Manage and monitor pain and symptoms associated with the terminal illness, adjusting interventions to ensure optimal comfort and quality of life
8. Administer medications as prescribed for symptom control, addressing side effects and monitoring the effectiveness of pain management
9. Educate patients and their families on the disease process, treatment options, and the goals of hospice care, promoting understanding and involvement in decision-making
10. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and communication with the hospice team, in accordance with regulatory requirements
11. Be a model of professionalism and compassion with serving as an ambassador to this organization
12. On-call required

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:

1. 1 year of hospice or home health experience required
2. BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
3. Must be eligible to work in the United States
4. RN license in SC
5. Reliable transportation
6. HomeCare HomeBase experience highly preferred
