Physical Therapist Assistant - PTA - Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility

1. Develop treatment plans by identifying a problem list and methods to achieve identified goals
2. Coordinate treatment plan with patient, family, and other team members
3. Help patients stretch and exercise certain muscle groups
4. Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to physical therapy area
5. Teach patients techniques like balance training
6. Adapts treatment to meet the individual needs of the patient
7. Reviews the quality and appropriateness of the total services delivered

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PTA PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT:

1. Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
2. Successful completion of Certification Examination
3. 1 year of long-term care/skilled nursing experience required
4. Valid PTA license in NM
