Responsibilities for this Certified Medical Assistant opportunity include, but are not limited to :

• Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
• Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
• Follow established protocols for medication distribution and ensure accuracy in medication administration
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration, documenting any deviations or issues
• Conduct venipuncture for blood draws, ensuring proper identification, labeling, and handling of specimens
• Ensure proper placement of electrodes and obtain clear and accurate EKG readings
• Monitor inmates for any adverse reactions or side effects following medication administration
• Ensure the proper storage and security of medications in accordance with facility policies
• Monitor and report any discrepancies in medication inventory
• Assist in the assessment of inmates' health conditions, particularly in relation to medication management

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CMA CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT :

• 1 years of recent experience required
• BLS issued through American Heart Association
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must be state-certified as a Medical Assistant in TN
• Valid driver's license
