CareerStaff Unlimited is looking to hire a Registered Nurse for a full-time, contract opportunity in Los Angeles, CA. Qualified nurses will have previous hospital experience and have a strong focus in patient care. - Weekly Estimated Pay: $2750
- Weekly Taxable Pay: $958
- Weekly Housing Stipend: $1274
- Weekly Meal Stipend: $518
Position details: 13 weeks, 12 hour DAY shifts – 7A-7P, minimum of 2 years’ experience w/ 2yr in specialty required. Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Holidays: 1 major, 1 minor - Scrub Color: Navy, Tech's green. Required COVID Vaccination. EMR: Cerner. RN will have to go through client specific credentialing.
Hospital Details: 86 beds total split 3 areas, some rooms are private, some are double occupacy. Require: BLS, Trauma/ortho experience. Nurse aids on each unit with a typical ratio of - 12:1. Required to Float to Tele (will be given more MedSurg type patients). Types of patients: Chronic CHF, DM, MVA, trauma, multi-system organ, ketoacidosis, postop, hysterectomy, hip/knees, cancer

MORE ABOUT THE RN REGISTERED NURSE – MEDICAL SURGICAL POSITION:

- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the organization
- Assess plans and evaluates patient care needs
- Carry out physician orders
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds and monitor vital signs
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
- Instruct and educate patients and families
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE – MEDICAL SURGICAL:
- BLS issued through American Heart Association
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- RN license in state of practice
