Registered Nurse - RN - Hospice

This contract offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour work day, over a 6 week duraiton. Ideal candidates will have recent hospice experience, practice patient-centered care, and understand how to manage their schedules daily and weekly. $1,840/Weekly Gross

MORE ABOUT THE RN REGISTERED NURSE POSITION:

1. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
2. Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
3. Foster a caring environment that respects patient's dignity
4. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with life-limiting illnesses, considering physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial factors
5. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments, collaborating with the interdisciplinary hospice team and considering patient and family goals
6. Manage and monitor pain and symptoms associated with the terminal illness, adjusting interventions to ensure optimal comfort and quality of life
7. Administer medications as prescribed for symptom control, addressing side effects and monitoring the effectiveness of pain management
8. Educate patients and their families on the disease process, treatment options, and the goals of hospice care, promoting understanding and involvement in decision-making
9. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and communication with the hospice team, in accordance with regulatory requirements
10. Be a model of professionalism and compassion with serving as an ambassador to this organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:

1. 2 years of recent nursing experience required
2. Hospice and HCHB experience required
3. BLS issued through American Heart Association
4. Must be eligible to work in the United States
5. RN license in MO
6. Reliable transportation
