JMA Solutions has an opportunity available for a full-time Operations Research Analyst/Data supporting the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).This position will support the Payroll Analysis Team with technical, financial, analytical support to achieve it's mission of providing excellent customer service and collaboration with ATO SUs to formulate and execute the ATO Payroll budget.This position is in Washington, D.C.

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Conducts quantitative analysis using operations research tools, economics, and other quantitative techniques in the areas of procedural implementations and performance issues.
• Creates analysis procedures.
• Assists in the definition of machine learning and data mining strategies.
• Creates, deploys, maintains, and refines decision management models.
• Specialist in modeling and simulation functions or operations such as, but not limited to exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, and instruction in the fields such as, but not limited to health, environmental, transportation, law enforcement, and security for military and civilian agencies.
• Use FAA official databases and toolsets, prepare biweekly staffing and monthly pay projection reports that monitor, track, and map staff movements, and provide pay and staffing variance analyses.
• Assist with the development of monthly SU briefings for the pay advisors.
• Develop and assist in ad hoc briefings and other artifacts in support of the pay advisors.
• Investigate new approaches in using currently used and new FAA-approved software and platforms. Concept documents will also include vendor-proposed updated designs and new products for reports, toolsets, and dashboards used by the Payroll Analysis Team and its customers.

Required Skills

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
• Strong organization and communication skills

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Sciences (e.g., mathematics, physics, meteorology, chemistry, etc.), operations research, economics, computer science, engineering, business, information systems, information technology, management science, or degree in related field. 15 to 20 year’s experience.

SALARY: $91,000-$137,000 depending on experience and education levels. JMA offers a full benefits package including vision, health, dental, life insurance, as well as a 401k match.
