Careers is Hiring a Level Up Scholarship Program Near Jacksonville, FL

Program Overview

The Level Up Scholarship Program provides up to $20,000 in cumulative support to outstanding employees enrolled in an LPN or RN program at an accredited college or university.

Eligibility

Employees eligible for the scholarship program will submit an application of interest. The applications will be reviewed and selections made by a scholarship committee consisting of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), Division leadership, and the Vice President of Human Resources. Every effort will be made to select employees across the system to include a representative cohort group. Up to ten (10) employees may be selected at a time. To be eligible, the employee must:

  • Have at least one (1) year tenure with Brooks in a regular, full or part-time status
  • Be in good standing with the organization
  • Enroll in an accredited LPN or RN program
Additional Guidelines
  • Payment will be made on the employee’s behalf directly to the school
  • Scholarship funds will cover tuition, books, related fees, and required equipment
  • An employee is not eligible for additional assistance under the Educational Assistance Program
  • If needed, Brooks’ Human Resources and the CNO will assist the student in leveraging all available funding sources with the college
  • Funds paid on behalf of the employee in excess of $5,250 per calendar year will be subject to applicable taxes
  • The employee must successfully complete their program of study within four (4) years from their enrollment date. After four years, if the employee has still not received their degree, they will need to apply for the Educational Assistance Program for any additional monetary support.
  • The employee will sign an agreement to remain with the organization for a minimum of two (2) years’ after date of licensure. If the employee does not stay for the required timeframe, HR will work with the employee and Payroll to recoup a pro-rated portion of any funds paid to date on behalf of the employee.
  • If an employee is unable to complete the program, HR and the CNO will determine next steps, if applicable.
