Job Description

As required by Executive Order 14042, Federal contractor employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee’s duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law. DESCRIPTION: JMA Solutions has an opportunity available for an Air Traffic Control Specialist supporting the Federal Aviation Administration’s AJR Operational Readiness Program Office. This person must be able to work well in a team setting, possess organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to excel and deliver results. This position is fully remote. The Contractor must provide traffic management expertise and support to the Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC) to include general analytical, training, Quality Control (QC), airspace planning, automation development, facility management, procedures management, logistical, and planning support in response to operational needs.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development of requirements, documents, reports, and presentations required to conduct the activities related to operational contingency
  •  Conduct assessment(s) of current and future automation aids and related operational
    systems
  • Support the review and recommend updates for Standard Operating Procedures; 
  • Participate in and support the development and design of operational readiness policies
  •  Coordinate and consult with identified stakeholders on the development, implementation, and maintenance of NAS Operational capabilities, plans, data, automation concepts and capabilities, and processes; 
  • Assist in the organization and planning of the team activities, meetings, etc., and documentation and reporting of team activities
  • Support the development of operational contingency tools, techniques, and guidance documents
  • Propose procedure designs and recommendations for solutions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain “Operational Contingency Best Practices”.
  • Assumptions and constraints on surface and airspace requirements
  • Provide key considerations for evaluation of impacts and risks for the areas of FAA operations and National Airspace System (NAS) safety
Job Requirements
  • Have competent skills with office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Possess skills to problem solve in team environment
  • Available for travel
  • Must be a US citizen and meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust.
  • Proven knowledge of FAA procedures and airspace

EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, and Science with a minimum of 10 years relative experience or 20 years of relative work experience without a degree.

SALARY: $130,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and education levels. JMA offers a full benefits package including vision, health, dental and life insurance, as well as a 401k match.
