Position Purpose:
Responsible for building and equipment repairs.Develop preventative maintenance programs on all equipment.Maintain and identify spare part stocking levels.Knowledge of OSHA procedures and possess excellent problem-solving skills necessary to maintain an orderly work facility.
Essential Functions:
·Maintain and repair all building, machinery and equipment
·Coordinates outside maintenance vendor activities.
·Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs on all work centers and equipment using Preventative Maintenance software.
·Troubleshoots all equipment problems.Identifies areas of improvement to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
·Maintain spare part stock levels.Maintain neat and orderly tool and maintenance crib.
·Participate as a member of the Safety Committee.
·Maintain regular attendance.
·All other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
·Associate degree or equivalent of four to five years relevant experience.
Minimum Qualifications
·A minimum of two years mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
·Experience in a manufacturing setting involving welding, fabricating and assembly preferred.
·Experience troubleshooting and repairing metal burning and forming equipment preferred.
·Knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, NFPA and NEC.
·Excellent problem solving and communication skills are necessary.
·Computer literate.
Physical Demands
·Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.
·Frequently need to move about inside office and plant designated area.
·Minimal movement of hands, wrists, or fingers such as typing, filing, and writing.
·Frequently need to position self to lift miscellaneous items.
·Must be able to lift to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Environmental Conditions
·Frequent exposure to loud noises.
·Seasonal exposure to hot and cold working areas.
·Frequent atmospheric exposure.
·Must be able to work in areas without climate controls.
