SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST I, DMPK in Buffalo, NY

The Senior Research Scientist I, DMPK is an experienced expert in the areas of DMPK, bioanalytical methods development, drug bioanalysis and metabolism. The principal responsibilities of the Senior Research Scientist I are to: direct and manage the performance of a team of up to 10 DMPK scientists; execute and interpret the outcomes of DMPK studies; provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and clients; prepare cost estimates and technical descriptions for business proposals; and to expand the capabilities and improve efficiencies for DMPK studies in alignment with business needs. The Senior Research Scientist I is required to demonstrate expertise in both the theoretical and practical aspects of mass spectrometry, to apply this expertise to the tasks assigned, and to develop novel assays and services as needed. Effective leadership, communication and multitasking skills, and the ability to deliver independent results within a team environment are all integral to this position. The Senior Research Scientist I is required to display a degree of professionalism reflected in part by increasing their knowledge of theory and practice through reading scientific journals and texts. The Senior Research Scientist I is expected to demonstrate an aptitude for the mentorship and development of less experienced DMPK scientists.

Pay Range: $88,000 - $110,000 /yr.
Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
