Pilot Plant Technician in Springfield, MO

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and operate equipment to prescribed instructions to perform various unit operations such as reactions, filtrations, distillations, drying, milling, etc on raw materials and various stages of chemical processing.
  • Follow and document per batch sheet instructions to produce products according to all current Good Manufacturing Procedure guidelines as required.
  • Support all facets of the Pilot Plant to include assisting the Shift Supervisors with special project needs, production support activities, SAP entries, etc.
  • Support the Chemical Research and Development group for kilo lab operations as needed. 
  • Operate with good housekeeping practices and maintain the Pilot Plant in accordance with cGMP regulations (cleaning validation, equipment logs, etc.)

Qualifications and background to be successful in this role:

Required

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Shift work required which will include weekends and/or holidays
  • Ability to work 12 hour shift assignments, day and night shift
  • Must be able to work overtime
  • Ability to wear a respirator

Preferred 

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry with previous experience in Pilot Plant or chemical operations or combination of education and experience
  • Mechanical aptitude/experience helpful
  • Strong math skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Team player and able to work with changing priorities with excellent time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
