The major responsibility of the Associate Environmental Health and Safety Specialist is to assure and maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. The Associate EHS Specialist will ensure Curia is compliant with its own company safety policies and programs as well as all safety standards at the local, state, and federal levels. More specifically, the role will update and manage EHS programs, train personnel, conduct audits/inspections, coordinate with outside contractors, maintain safety documentation, and respond to safety related incidents.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to work in a normal office environment and is frequently required to enter the production area of a typical manufacturing facility which has moving mechanical parts, and may have fumes or airborne particles, cold/heat, wet and/or humid conditions, low levels of toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate. From time to time the employee may be required to don PPE including respiratory protection, full body suits and other forms of PPE for close up safety and IH evaluations.
