Our client, a premier provider of mechanical solutions, is actively seeking a Building Automation Specialist II to enhance their team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of building management systems (BMS) and exhibit exceptional technical and leadership skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in advanced troubleshooting, programming, and project management within the realm of building automation.
Building Automation Specialist II Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Service lead for planned preventive maintenance, service calls, and projects, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and system reliability.
  • Act as a primary resource to Project Managers for daily project status updates.
  • Serve as the technical lead to project field teams for the checkout process, including troubleshooting and diagnosing complex BMS issues, diagnosing programming issues and implementing corrections, and creating complex GFX logic strategies from Sequences of Operation (SOO), particularly for central plants and large HVAC systems.
  • Lead install/service projects as required, including writing and executing customer Method of Procedure (MOP) and MCM.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, daily reports, and act as the point of contact for necessary corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 24 months experience as a Building Automation Specialist I or equivalent work experience in the field.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in building management systems, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing project field teams and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in creating complex GFX logic strategies and diagnosing programming issues.
  • Completion of MCA PM course.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
