Job Brief

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistants to join our healthcare teams.

As a Nursing Assistant, you will work under the direction of nursing personnel to provide essential patient care and support. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our patients, and you will contribute significantly to their overall healthcare experience.

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assist nursing personnel in providing basic care to patients, including but not limited to, bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding. Help with mobility and transferring patients safely.
• Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiratory rate, accurately and promptly as directed.
• Observation and Reporting: Observe and report any changes in patients' conditions, behaviors, or vital signs to the nursing staff promptly, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
• Patient Comfort: Maintain a comfortable and clean environment for patients, ensuring their physical and emotional comfort during their stay or treatment.
• Assistance with Procedures: Assist nursing personnel during medical procedures and treatments, ensuring the necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.
• Medication Support: Under the guidance of nursing staff, assist with medication administration and record medication intake accurately.
• Patient Interaction: Foster positive and compassionate patient interactions, providing emotional support and encouragement to patients and their families.
• Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, patient observations, and care activities performed.
• Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to established safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and hygienic healthcare environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper care and maintenance of medical equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunction or issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care and contribute to a supportive work environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) training program and current CNA certification (if required by the state).
• Proven ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under the direction of nursing personnel.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting and moving patients, as well as prolonged periods of standing and walking.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting as a Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
