We have been retained to assist our client, a multi-generational specialty product manufacturer, with a Vice President of Supply Chain search near Cleveland, OH. This executive will be responsible for providing the strategic direction for the company’s production planning, engaging in supplier relationships, and implementing changes to accommodate their growing sales volume. This includes ensuring on-time shipments, accurate forecasting, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for receiving, storage, all movement and security of the inbound and outbound inventory
• Lead and work hand-in-hand with the supply chain team to develop and implement programs that will help manage the organization’s sales growth
• Engage and negotiate with overseas contract manufacturing suppliers
• Analyze key performance metrics to ensure proper on-time delivery is met with increased production volume
• Improve departmental performance measures through the use and interpretation of continuous improvement tools and process changes
• Manage resources, making real-time adjustments when needed, to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 10 years of experience at an operational level related to supply chain management
• Experience with overseas manufacturing suppliers
• Must be able to travel outside of the US
