SENIOR TEST ENGINEER DYNAMIC

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Participate as a Flight Test and Radar Signatures Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Dynamic RCS Measurement System (DRMS) Test Team IPTs. Specific responsibilities include:
The RCS Test Engineer is responsible for collaborating with other in-house and sub-contractor SMEs to design and evaluate flight profiles that provide the necessary TSPI for RCS and wideband imagery.
The RCS Test Engineer (RCS-TE) position is responsible for leading the T-IPT in the application and evolution of real-time and post mission signal processing tools to determine measurement quality.
The RCS-TE is responsible for developing the radar signal processing strategy, performing necessary signal processing and measurement assessments, as well as, developing narrowband and wideband products.
GENERAL DUTIES:
Must have knowledge of Flight Testing, Radar theory, principles, and concepts. Expertise and experience in signal processing with specific experience in RCS and ISAR of concepts, algorithms, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of electromagnetic scattering phenomenology and wave propagation. Expertise and experience in waveform requirements, design, and optimization. Experience and understanding of Systems Engineering with a requirement to become knowledgeable on NRTF SE practices. Systems engineering expertise to include the ability to develop, coordinate and present technical reviews.
OTHER DUTIES:
Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Electrical Engineering, or Physics and 3-8 years experience. 2-5 years flight test experience desired. Proficient in the use of Mathcad; MATLAB; Python; IADS; and Microsoft Office.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a Top-Secret security clearance. Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. Travel can be expected 2-3 times per quarter. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Supports NRTF and E-OMS operational objectives; observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies. Supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be capable maintaining physical condition to regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include a respirator. Must be capable of regularly climbing extension ladders, tower ladders, stepladders, and stairs. Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop and squat repetitively. Requires the ability to regularly kneel. Requires the ability to repetitively stretch or reach horizontal or vertically. Must be capable of walking extensively.
