Role Summary
Goldman Sachs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing complex software applications, and a strong background in computer science, mathematics, or a related field. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to meet business needs and will be responsible for building and maintaining highly reliable and scalable systems.
The Controls Engineering team is responsible for building the next generation firm-wide control plane for our front office desks. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, high-quality web applications for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly web applications that meet business needs
Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product managers to create high-quality products
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that follows industry best practices
Ensure that applications are accessible, responsive, and performant across a variety of devices and platforms
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
Continuously improve processes and tools to enhance productivity and code quality
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our products and processes
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
8 of experience in front-end web development
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
Experience with web performance optimization techniques
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience with server-side programming languages such as Java or Python
Experience with automated testing and continuous integration tools
Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines
Experience with Agile development methodologies
