Ideal candidate will have experience in Northern California.As the project development manager at BayoTech, you will be fully responsible for leading the development of our US hydrogen hub projects (primary focus on Northern California) through all project development phases with a focus on early to mid-stage phases (acquisition through site development). You will identify and secure control over selected sites, coordinate applications for utility interconnection, and facilitate environmental, permitting, and planning reviews with the appropriate jurisdictional entities. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality and profitable projects that meet all project milestones. You will be the face of your projects, both externally and internally.Core Duties And ResponsibilitiesExternally, you will build relationships with landowners, community members, regulators, and local government officials to gain project support.Serve as project lead for discussions with landowners, negotiate site control agreements, and secure planning/use permit approvals.Manage various studies and the outside consultants who lead them to meet project budget and schedule.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including federal, state, and local officials, project landowners, and surrounding community members.Drive complex negotiations and independently create solutions to project-specific challenges.Make sound decisions under challenging circumstances using available data and your experience.Internally, you will collaborate with other BayoTech staff to ensure the smooth delivery of your projects.Facilitate the engagement of internal teams including legal, project management and engineering, finance, and operations.Integrate the feedback of BayoTech team members into your project approach to achieve targeted results.Establish organizational goals, objectives, and operating procedures in line with the overall business plans and objectives.Implement long-term company strategy and initiatives related to hydrogen project development.Create control and influence over the costs, terms, and schedules of key project milestones.Efficiently and effectively manage multiple projects in parallel.BayoTech is in search of professionals who have a strong understanding of the financial drivers behind large-scale industrial projects, particularly projects. Our developers understand which strategies and tactics enhance their projects’ success and use an array of problem-solving skills to implement their plans. BayoTech’s project developers can point to a diverse set of tactics and strategies that they have deployed in the past with success. The project development manager must be able to handle the most complex issues independently and have a track record of leading projects, and project teams, by consistently providing leadership to multiple internal and external team members on their projects.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, business, architecture, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.Minimum 6 years of experience developing projects in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the development of compressed natural gas (CNG) and/or industrial gas sectors, or in large-scale industrial projects in other sectors, marked by a proven track record leading projects through key milestones to commercial operations.Extensive experience negotiating complex land acquisition agreements, including ground leases, as well as other real estate functions.
