As a dynamic and thriving staffing agency with a 5 year track record, our company prides itself on our robust team of over 40 consultants and 10 dedicated internal employees including account managers, recruiters, and operations staff. Currently generating revenue exceeding $4 million annually, we are poised for significant growth. To facilitate this, we are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper who will play a crucial role in scaling our financial operations to achieve our goal of surpassing $20 million in revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Maintenance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (i.e., Quickbook)
  • Record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Restructure and update the charts of account as needed to reflect the current business financials.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis.
Accounts Payable and Receivables:
  • Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, send customer invoices, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Handle billing discrepancies and resolve payment issues with clients and vendors in a timely manner.
Payroll Processing:
  • Prepare and process payroll for employees and contractors, including calculating wages, sales commissions, deductions, and taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain payroll records and resolve any payroll-related discrepancies or inquiries in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Generate financial reports and analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Provide support during audits and tax filings, including gathering necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Implement and maintain financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare regular financial reports for senior management, highlighting trends, and analyzing variances.
Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, including revenue forecasting, expense tracking, and profitability analysis.
  • Monitor financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Develop financial models and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and business decisions.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

Process and Policy Improvement:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to optimize financial performance and ensure fiscal discipline.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the accounting function.
  • Implement best practices to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accounting processes with other business functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, financial analysis, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.

  • Strong proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

$33.72/hr to $43.25/hr
