JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job duties:
Ownership of global consolidation process for multinational public company

• Oversee the monthly financial close, including timeliness and accuracy of data
• Develop and document process procedures following the implementation of Oracle
• Development, review and approval of US GAAP adjusting entries to international subsidiary balances and transactions
• Review and assist in proper cash flow classification for monthly transactions
• Ownership of financial statement close process and key SOX controls
• Ensure accuracy of foreign currency translation adjustments
• Perform and review analytical procedures to assist in monthly validations and work with local and foreign accounting teams to ensure data accuracy
• Assist in the completion of store level financial statements
• Full control of intercompany elimination process, adjusting entries and problem identification/resolution
• Review and recommend mapping assignments for new GL accounts and changes to mapping assignments between ledger systems
• Act as a troubleshooting resource and research guide to assist segment controllers in their review and approval of monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses
• Support the company's merger-and-acquisition activity by proactively ensuring integration of target companies' ledger systems and identifying potential roadblocks
• Ensure effective design of and compliance with internal controls and SOX compliance
• Coordinate with internal and external auditor teams as needed to support internal and external financial reporting

Skillset/Competencies:

• 5 years hands-on experience with complex consolidation ownership in a multinational public company (Big 4 experience preferred)
• Certified Public Accountant
• High level of competence in US GAAP

• Strong Oracle experience preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail

• Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain working relationships within the finance & accounting organization, including controllership, FP&A, general accounting, treasury, and internal audit
