CareerBuilder is Hiring a Director, Reprocessing Services - Central Sterile Processing - Full Time - Days Near Flowood, MS

Administrative accountability for leading, managing, supervising and evaluating all aspects of administrative and operational services within Sterile Reprocessing. Assures professional, clinical, and educational excellence in all aspects of Sterile Reprocessing. Provides oversight for the development of safety practices, and enforces regulatory compliance. Assumes responsibility, in conjunction with and in collaborative relationships with the business unit Managers of Sterile Reprocessing. Provides management oversight for the development of sterilization safety standards, quality control of sterilization processes and regulatory compliance. Reports directly to the Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer and has a collaborative relationship with Director, Surgery Services and System Director, Sterile Processing to ensure best practices.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
Five (5) years of progressively more responsible experience, preferably within sterile reprocessing and surgical services
Demonstrated success in leading sterile reprocessing units
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong facilitative interpersonal skills; excellent problem solving skills
Demonstrated innovative, creative leadership style; participative management style
Knowledge of quality management and service excellence
Interpersonal skills to effectively lead assigned personnel and to communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
Analytical skills to evaluate procedures, techniques, assess problems and identify solutions
Clinical knowledge to evaluate both safety and maintenance of regulatory standards within sterile reprocessing
Computer skills including Word and Excel
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Master's degree in Public Health, Nursing or related field is highly preferred
Two (2) years in a Managerial role preferred
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse
