Job Summary

Supervises manufacturing engineers,tool crib employee's.

Manage the team performance, trains and recommends compensation. Manage team deliverables to meet department requirements including overtime. Develop and manage the best process for manufacturing as the resposability to develop and realease the traveler and transfer and realse to Manufacturing for volume production, in direct collabration with the design/ process engineering team as well as the test / automation team. Responsible for Departmental Budgets. This manager has responsibility to plan is projects and KPI updated,define tooling to support volume manufactuirng.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Manager position interacts internally with its pier at Chatsworth as well as all other sites regardless of the division, as well as the entire management team of AFIP division, he is responsible for direct communication with the CSR, Sales team, Product management team, and the Quality team through regular review of the project(s).
• External communications such with suppliers in support of the supply chain, he can be call upon meeting and with customers.
• Responsible for KPI on turn time for new quotes, in support of product management, with the back-up of Design and Test team as required.
• Keep constant liaison with the AFIP team on the other site, mainly Milpitas.
• Responsible to review engineering spec feasibility and Manufacturability
• Use KPI to measure the performance of is department.
• Follow and reinforce all safety requirements.

Required Skills

• Experience of production and manufacturing processes and techniques

• Knowledge of quality systems and standards

• Experienced in process improvement

• Knowledge of business, finance and management principles

• Knowledge of engineering and technology principles and practices

• Excellent communication, teamwork, project management, and presentation skills.

• Drivers license, auto insurance and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Skills

• Experience/knowledge of Semicon OEM product design requirements
• Experience/knowledge in Aerospace/Satellite heater and cable products.
• Material Engineering/Design knowledge
• Previous Management Experience, Finance knowledge, Procurement knowledge

Experience Requirements

• 5 to 7 years Senior Engineering Leadership in Semicon or Aerospace environments

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

• Sitting, standing, and travelling, both domestic and international may require.
• Ability to lift 10 pounds.

• Climate controlled office and production environment.
• Requires travel both domestically and internationally.
