Career Start is currently seeking a Sand Molder in Syracuse, NY. The Sand Molder will be responsible for filling and vibrating molds during the sand packing process.

Responsibilities of the Sand Molder:

• Verify weights of sand, catalyst, and binder, promptly notifying the supervisor of any discrepancies from specifications
• Operate the Pacemaster machine to fill and vibrate molds, manually packing sand and eliminating excess
• Utilize either a rollover machine or manual methods to remove patterns once the sand has solidified
• Perform regular maintenance on machinery and keep necessary reports up to date

Requirements of the Sand Molder:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, consistently employing personal protective equipment, and maintaining excellent housekeeping practices
