Overview Summary :

The work involves responsibility for managing and

directing the operations of the social work department for the Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation.

• The incumbent is also expected to handle a caseload appropriate for a Master’s level social worker.
• Supervision is exercised over subordinate personnel.
• The work is performed under the general

supervision of the Director of Long Term Care with considerable leeway for independent judgment and the

exercise of discretion.

A Director of Social Work Services does related work as assigned.

Qualifications : Applicants must meet all requirements for one of the following qualification options in order to be approved for examination and / or appointment :

Training / Education : Possession of a Master’s

degree in social work. Possession of a Bachelor’s

degree in social work.

Experience : One year of paid, full-time

experience working as a clinical social worker. Three years of paid, fulltime experience working as a clinical social worker.

Part-time service will be given prorated credit toward experience requirements.
