Career Personnel Services is Hiring a Purchasing Agent Near Birmingham, AL

A family owned tile and stone company is looking for a sharp individual with great customer service skills to join their team as Purchasing Agent. This position will a temp to permanent position, meaning a 3 month contracted period with opportunity for full time at the end of the contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing inventory and sales to determine ordering needs
  • Sending the Purchase orders to our suppliers and following up on them.
  • Organizing orders into shipments from our suppliers to us.
  • Dealing with mis-shipments and reordering as needed.
  • Dealing with some accounting issues.

Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years experience in Purchasing
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
