Career Finder is Hiring a Fleet Assistant Near Chicago, IL
Peoples Gas, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Fleet Assistant in our Chicago, Illinois South Shop location on the 3:30-Midnight M-F shift. The hourly rate for this position starts at $25.36 with scheduled contractual increases.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform basic periodic maintenance on a variety of vehicles and work equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on light and medium duty vehicles
- Complete required documentation and enter all maintenance data in a computerized Maintenance Management system
- Coordinate downtime, repairs and return to service with appropriate leadership
- Change and repair tires
- Procure parts from outside vendors to facilitate timely equipment repairs
- Pick up and deliver vehicles as directed
Minimum Experience Required
- High School Diploma, HSED, or GED Required
- 1 year of relevant work experience or vehicle mechanic course work towards a certification
- Basic PC skills
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months
