Medical Assistant
Medical Assistant needed for busy physician's practice. Certification required. Duties include but not limited to: Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, Recording medical history, etc. $14-$16 hr.
Responsibilities
- Follow clinical assignment sheet daily including team duties.
- Coordinate patient flow.
- Prepare patient for examination by provider.
- Enter patient data in EHR to capture MIPS directives.
- Change dressings, collect specimens, and provide treatments as directed by provider.
- Apply and remove casts/splints/sutures/staples as directed by practitioner.
- Take calls, document and complete phone messages from patients or other healthcare providers and route them appropriately per each team protocol.
- Provide DME to patients and complete DME paperwork.
- Patient pre- and post-operative teaching as ordered by practitioner.
- Schedule tests or appointments with hospital or other providers as needed.
- Assure the clinical area is clean and organized.
- Stock patient rooms as needed.
- Promotes safe and effective patient care.
- Assures the clinical area is clean and organized.
- Observes and complies with all personnel policies and procedures.
- Communicate and interact effectively with patients and families, physicians, peers and other team members to maximize successful patient outcomes.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patient and staff related information.
- Follow compliance and safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in Medical office preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- Patient care skills.
- Physical ability to help patient transfer.
- Ability to take vitals.
- Ability to administer medications/injections
Benefits/Compensation
- Pay rate is $14-$16 per hour
- Full Time
- 1st Shift
