**Location:** Dallas, TX

**Job Type:** Full-time

**Salary:** $18-$28/hr - Competitive, based on experience

**Schedule:** 8-hour shift; Day and Night Shift availability preferred

**Supplemental Pay Types:** Bonus pay

**Relocation Requirement:** Must be reliably able to commute or planning to relocate to Dallas, TX before starting work.

**About the Role:**

We are seeking a dedicated Avionics Technician with a passion for aviation and a keen eye for detail to join our team. This role focuses on the maintenance and troubleshooting of Business Aircraft Avionics. The ideal candidate will have experience with Garmin Avionics, a strong understanding of process improvement methodologies, and the leadership skills necessary to guide day-to-day operations and mentor team members.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

- Perform regular maintenance on corporate aircraft, including inspection, repair, and replacement of aircraft's structural, mechanical, and electronic components.

- Ensure mechanical systems' proper working condition before flight.

- Develop and maintain records related to maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

- Ensure compliance with company RSQCM, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations.

- Install new parts for repair, replacement, or enhancement of aircraft performance.

- Perform diagnostics and resolve mechanical issues based on visual inspections or crew reports.

- Collaborate with A&P mechanics or other personnel for engine and non-instrumental part repairs.

**Required Skills/Abilities:**

- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

- In-depth knowledge of aircraft parts, systems, mechanics, tools, and testing methods.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for record maintenance.

- Detail-oriented with a strong mechanical inclination and superior workmanship.

- Basic inspection and repair skills.

- Must own basic tools.

**Education and Experience:**

- High school or equivalent (Required)

- 3-5 years of aviation experience with 2 years in aircraft maintenance (Required)

- Aviation Leadership experience (1 year Preferred)

- Technical Aviation experience (3 years Required)

- Corporate aviation experience (1 year Required)

- A&P Certification (Preferred)

- Valid driver's license

- Must pass a 10-year FBI background check and random drug and alcohol tests.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to work in various positions and spaces, on scaffolding or ladders.

- Ability to lift/pull objects up to 70 pounds.

- Manual dexterity, physical strength, visual acuity, and adequate hearing are essential.
