Job Summary:
We are looking for experienced an Patient Services Representative to join our call center team in Rutherford, NJ. Patient Services Representatives effectively manage calls that come in through the call queue by providing a high standard of service to Patients and Clients, facilitating first-call resolution on all issues requiring follow-up, and representing our clients and CareCloud in the best possible way.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review referrals received via fax or email to ensure all required information is provided.
  • Communicate via email with regional team to confirm coverage in the area for possible clients.
  • Place initial call to possible clients to offer in-home physical, occupational, or speech therapy.
  • Follow up on clients with pending issues to be resolved within a 3-day follow-up period, including making calls to providers and or power of attorney to help advance admitting process.
  • Review patient’s insurance benefits and guide them through our payment options.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in multiple medical billing software, website portals, and credit card processing systems.
  • Have the ability to be self-efficient in completing all tasks assigned to your dashboard, with a daily minimum of 50 tasks
  • Actively participate in communication with direct reporting management to support process improvements, team participation, and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain and follow confidentiality of Patient PHI and any other related information according to Practice privacy practices and HIPAA
  • Follow the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Good communication skills: verbal, listening, interpersonal and written.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows operating System environment, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong focus on patient care and customer service with the ability to exhibit patience and informed decision-making.
  • Positive demeanor with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage schedule solutions as needed.
  • Knowledge in medical billing; CPT and ICD-10 codes a plus.
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Prior experience with physical, occupational, and speech therapy services a plus.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
