Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the office's scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update demographic information as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely communication
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Proficiency in using office systems such as Epic, Dentrix, or similar medical scheduling software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate data entry and record keeping
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and medical staff
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to assist with patient inquiries
- Familiarity with phone systems to handle incoming calls professionally
